In the production area of Via Genova, a process is underway of relocation by a number of major companies operating in the manufacturing, logistics, handicraft, and services.
Over the past few years, a real industrial cluster with high innovation characteristics and by a marked orientation towards exports and international markets.
This entirely spontaneous process has redrawn the productive geography of the area, consequently activating the recovery and redevelopment of a large part of the private building stock.
Precisely to address these problems, the municipal administration municipality of Grosseto has approved the plan Area Point Zero (A.0), a redevelopment project directed at regenerate the current productive context in its physical dimension and in its its functional organization.
The ultimate goal of the project is to radically transform an area characterized by phenomena of degradation and poor aesthetic and environment into a neighborhood in which productive areas are flanked by leisure and educational services, green spaces, and places for socialization and meeting.
The city of Grosseto lies on the Rome-Livorno road axis and is connected to the large urban areas of Siena and Florence via the E78.

As for the Siena-Grosseto link, work is under way to upgrade the E78 to four lanes .
The work specifically concerns a section of about 11.8 kilometers and affects the municipalities of Sovicille, Murlo and Monticiano.
The work, for a total investment of 195 million euros, consists of upgrading the SS223 “di Paganico” to four lanes by building a new carriageway alongside the existing one.
Grosseto also has a civil airport (Grosseto Airport-Seam Spa), which currently serves private flights, with a very strong charter traffic of about 1,500 charter flights a year for business and tourist visits.
